Hello Everyone. I have a series of 8 older photos of Parkers from the Trojan through the AAHE ( excluding PHE) that I believe must be Remington era. Each photo is 6.5"x20" and all are labeled "THE PARKER GUN" followed by the grade with the exception of the DHE which is labeled "PARKER DOUBLE BARREL TRAP GUNS" and the VHE which is labeled "PARKER SKEET GUNS." As shown in the photo, 4 show the complete gun and four are of the frame area comb to mid forend, 2 actions open and 2 closed. "Parker Bros" is visible on the sides of all the guns except the DHE and the VHE. At least three full length photos look to me to be photos of actual guns and the others possibly renditions rather than photos. The VHE looks to be blued rather than casehardened while the description of the Trojan states it comes with a "case hardened frame." Each photo has a description block listing standard and optional features available with each model.
Have any of the more experienced Parkerphiles come across these photos in the past? This is the only set I have seen. Because of the size, could these have been reprinted from the Remington Salesman Portfolio or might they have been promotional items for dealers? Any idea when these were originally produced?
Please excuse the hasty attached photo. Erick

| Erick, the Salesman's Portfolio pages are about 7 X 20 with holes in the top of the pages but with none of the text shown in your pictures. Your pictures are very nice and would look good framed, I'm sure. No, I have not come across any of these before. They do look like they were produced from the Portfolio pages. Bill, Thank-you for the reply and information. Framing will be a definate. Haven't had them long enough to do anything yet. Any other insights you might have would be appreciated.

| Could possibly be original copy from which the Salesman's Portfolio was printed? Last edited on Fri Aug 15th, 2008 04:03 pm by Dean Romig

Why dont you figure out a way to let the PGCA use the pictures to make more up for sale to other members? I know I would buy some of them to put up iin my office. They are really good looking.

Pat,
Nice idea to repro them. They'd make interesting wall covering for the Parkerphile. But I forget ... what's an "office"???
